Well, my first fanart for DOATEC.com, a great resource for anything related to the Team Ninja games. Thanx to =NinjaKasumi123 for the link, or I would have never found out about the site (^-^)!
Again, I say that I am horrible when it comes to fanart, so those who analyze this picture may spot out a lot of inaccuracies and mistakes. I just can't render characters that are not of my own work, because it is hard trying to find enough reference material for it all. But enough of the excuses, this is the best I could do with the resources I had available (the "Ninja Gaiden" game manual, the game's CG movies, and Google image searches are what I used for reference). So much detail... especially on Ryu Hayabusa...
When I saw that DOATEC.com had it's own fanart section, I begun thinking of what I should draw and submit for it. So long afterwards, heheh, I decided to draw a Ninja Gaiden fanart because I was in the mood. This is what came of it. For those who are unfamiliar with Ninja Gaiden and/or it's characters, from top to bottom, they are: Rachel, Ryu Hayabusa, and Ayane.
I originally just wanted to draw Hayabusa, but I decided, "Why not add some of his allies in the game?" And I eventually did. I could have added Muramasa, the shop owner who Hayabusa buys a lot of his items and upgrades from, but to tell you the truth, the old guy wouldn't look right in an action pose, heheh. Nor would he count for an ally because he is honestly doing his job and taking your essence money from you while he's at it. Ayane is an ally because she helps you a lot in the game by throwing notes and hints your way. Rachel is just one of those damselles in distress who gets involved in the game because her sister was turned into a Fiend monster. She ends up helping you by leaving behind her giant Warhammer... but I won't spoil it for the rest of you haven't played it yet. And now I am aniticipating the release of "Ninja Gaiden: Black"-- the 100% complete version of Ninja Gaiden... making my current version feel incomplete, heheh.

Ryu Hayabusa looks alright but Rachel and Ayane's faces could use a bit more work.
